Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Thursday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 8 families, and now we feed 357 each week. Donations have dropped by about 60% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Dresden market and keep every receipt. Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $3,100 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,750 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $700 • Baby formula and diapers: $420 • Refrigeration and electricity: $230 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Paula

Updates from Paula

  1. Update from Dresden: the plan for rice, beans, flour and oil is now scheduled. We're at 37% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. We're at 28% thanks to 24 of you. I made the first payment toward refrigeration and electricity. More news soon.
