Weekly meals for families facing hunger in Dortmund
The the Harvest Pantry pantry in Dortmund is running low just as demand rises; $2,650 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 17 families, and now we feed 104 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 59% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Dortmund market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $165
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $810
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,675
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
