Weekly meals for families facing hunger in Chattanooga
Ella runs a volunteer pantry feeding 365 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Monday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 365 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 44% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Chattanooga market and keep every receipt.
Each $60 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $180
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,450
• Baby formula and diapers: $270
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
