Weekly meals for families facing hunger in Amiens
The the Thursday Table pantry in Amiens is running low just as demand rises; $2,500 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Thursday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 26 families, and now we feed 204 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 55% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Amiens market and keep every receipt.
Each $20 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,450
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $740
• Baby formula and diapers: $310
