Weekly meals for families and seniors in Suwon
The Community Pantry pantry in Suwon is running low just as demand rises; $1,550 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Sunday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 28 families, and now we feed 216 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 55% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Suwon market and keep every receipt.
Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $610
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $440
• Baby formula and diapers: $290
• Refrigeration and electricity: $210
