Weekly meals for families and seniors in Munich
Walter runs a volunteer pantry feeding 271 families; this fund restocks shelves for the harvest gap.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Wednesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 271 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 58% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Munich market and keep every receipt.
Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $3,500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,750
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,300
• Baby formula and diapers: $230
• Refrigeration and electricity: $220
Glad we found this place.

Hang in there. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
sending strength, Walter. More neighborhoods should do this
Rooting for you, Walter. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did!
Hope it all works out. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We're a small family in Rajshahi but we're thinking of you. Blessings
Stay strong, Walter. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Adama.
thinking of you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Greetings from Bursa.
Rooting for you, Walter. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Cần Thơ this morning. Take care.
