Weekly meals for families and seniors in Mobile
The the Harvest Pantry pantry in Mobile is running low just as demand rises; $2,950 will stock it for 11 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 25 families, and now we feed 171 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 35% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mobile market and keep every receipt.
Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,150
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $940
• Baby formula and diapers: $610
• Refrigeration and electricity: $250
