Weekly meals for families and seniors in Manukau
Ellie runs a volunteer pantry feeding 225 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Wednesday from the back of a community center. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 225 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 43% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Manukau market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $350
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,600
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $650
I hope life is good to you.

Sending strength. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care
