Weekly meals for families and seniors in İzmir
Kaan runs a volunteer pantry feeding 121 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 10 families, and now we feed 121 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 58% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the İzmir market and keep every receipt.
Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $700 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $360
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $260
• Baby formula and diapers: $65
• Refrigeration and electricity: $15

Quick update: $100 raised so far (14%). I made the first payment toward fresh vegetables and fruit. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
