Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Victoria
Nicolas runs a volunteer pantry feeding 234 families; this fund restocks shelves for the harvest gap.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Tuesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 29 families, and now we feed 234 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 57% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Victoria market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,400
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $960
• Baby formula and diapers: $280
• Refrigeration and electricity: $360
