Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Wednesday from the back of a community center. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 87 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 39% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Rajshahi market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $200 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $110
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $75
• Baby formula and diapers: $15

Thank you all. We're at 25% now ($50). I'm honestly stunned. we've started the first stage.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($136 in total) I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
