Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Peoria
The the Thursday Table pantry in Peoria is running low just as demand rises; $2,000 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Tuesday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 25 families, and now we feed 297 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 49% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 17 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Peoria market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $500
• Refrigeration and electricity: $370
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,130
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

You're not alone, Angel. I hope things turn around soon. Please keep us posted!
Keep going, Angel. Shared it with a few friends. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Hang in there. More neighborhoods should do this. Thinking of Peoria.
