Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Memphis
Vihaan runs a volunteer pantry feeding 123 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Monday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 123 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 56% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Memphis market and keep every receipt.
Each $55 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $550
• Baby formula and diapers: $250
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $2,400
Every share and every dollar helps.
