Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Mandaue
Liza runs a volunteer pantry feeding 300 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Friday from the back of a community center. We started with 29 families, and now we feed 300 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 40% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mandaue market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $400 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $60
• Baby formula and diapers: $85
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $255
I hope life is good to you.

Take care. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Wish I lived closer to Juazeiro do Norte so I could bring a meal
Stay strong. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't give up. God bless.
Thinking of you and your family. Great idea, hope you get there. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
