Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Manchester
Zbigniew runs a volunteer pantry feeding 270 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Thursday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 27 families, and now we feed 270 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 30% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Manchester market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $720
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $390
• Baby formula and diapers: $420
• Refrigeration and electricity: $320
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

what exactly is the $1,850 for?
Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) is $720 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. It helps to be asked.
Hope you get there. We're a small family in Tokyo but we're thinking of you.
Stay strong. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings.
