Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Malang
The the Harvest Pantry pantry in Malang is running low just as demand rises; $400 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a community center. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 103 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 48% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Malang market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $175
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $105
• Baby formula and diapers: $75
• Refrigeration and electricity: $45
I hope life is good to you.

Wishing you the best. More neighborhoods should do this. Put this on a community board in Bekasi this morning.
