Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Fresno
Beatriz runs a volunteer pantry feeding 177 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 10 families, and now we feed 177 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 59% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 9 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Fresno market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,700
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $470
• Baby formula and diapers: $440
• Refrigeration and electricity: $390
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
