Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Bonny
The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Bonny is running low just as demand rises; $450 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Friday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 195 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 43% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bonny market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $450 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $55
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $120
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $275
