Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Bengaluru
Help keep a free food pantry open for elderly neighbors in Bengaluru.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 183 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 55% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 9 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bengaluru market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $310
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $65
• Baby formula and diapers: $85
• Refrigeration and electricity: $40
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Hope it all works out, Manoj. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Bengaluru but we're thinking of you.
Wishing you the best, Manoj. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Bengaluru
