Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Ballarat
The the Harvest Pantry pantry in Ballarat is running low just as demand rises; $2,750 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Sunday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 21 families, and now we feed 102 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 51% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Ballarat market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,400
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $970
• Baby formula and diapers: $380
