Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Anaheim
Luna runs a volunteer pantry feeding 307 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Thursday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 10 families, and now we feed 307 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 48% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Anaheim market and keep every receipt.
Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,350
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,050
• Baby formula and diapers: $670
• Refrigeration and electricity: $180

Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) is $1,350 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. I'll keep the page updated.
