Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Abuja
The the Thursday Table pantry in Abuja is running low just as demand rises; $350 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Monday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 21 families, and now we feed 90 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 46% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Abuja market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $350 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $165
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $90
• Baby formula and diapers: $40
• Refrigeration and electricity: $55
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
