We lost everything in the volcanic eruption: help the families of Old Town Lane start over
After the volcanic eruption, families in the families of Old Town Lane need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The volcanic eruption hit the families of Old Town Lane on 28 January. My home was one of 32 damaged, and 10 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $500
• Clean water and purification supplies: $80
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $125
• Food parcels for displaced families: $160
• Tools and labor for repairs: $185
I hope life is good to you.

Good luck, Elsa. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer.
Thinking of you. Hope you get there. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Dhaka.
Hope it all works out. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. After 23 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Bekasi.

Praying for you. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Thinking of you and your family, Elsa. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Mumbai

Sending love. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Mapo.
