We lost everything in the storm: help the Old Town district start over
The storm damaged 45 homes in the Old Town district. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The storm hit the Old Town district on 18 March. My home was one of 45 damaged, and 12 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $880
• Clean water and purification supplies: $260
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $480
• Food parcels for displaced families: $270
• Tools and labor for repairs: $610
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Hope it all works out. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
