We lost everything in the river erosion: help the Hillcrest settlement start over
Neighbors in the Hillcrest settlement are rebuilding after the river erosion; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The river erosion hit the Hillcrest settlement on 13 October. My home was one of 55 damaged, and 9 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $500 goes:
• Clean water and purification supplies: $130
• Roofing sheets and timber: $210
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $160
Thank you for reading my story.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Bithi.
It's all in the list in the story. clean water and purification supplies is the big one at $130, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. I'll keep the page updated.
good luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Casablanca!
