We lost everything in the ice storm: help the Greenfield settlement start over
After the ice storm, families in the Greenfield settlement need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The ice storm hit the Greenfield settlement on 16 December. My home was one of 46 damaged, and 13 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $5,100 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,600
• Tools and labor for repairs: $2,550
• Clean water and purification supplies: $950
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Any update on how things are going in Brampton?
Wishing you the best. More neighborhoods should do this. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
