We lost everything in the house fire that spread across the block: help the families of Lakeview Lane start over
After the house fire that spread across the block, families in the families of Lakeview Lane need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The house fire that spread across the block hit the families of Lakeview Lane on 8 March. My home was one of 87 damaged, and 8 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $3,550 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,350
• Clean water and purification supplies: $1,100
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,100
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Good news. Because of your gifts ($130 in total) I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. My neighbor in Los Angeles donated after I showed her your page.
Sending good thoughts, Russell. Hope this works out for you
