We lost everything in the heatwave: help Millbrook village start over
Neighbors in Millbrook village are rebuilding after the heatwave; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The heatwave hit Millbrook village on 16 September. My home was one of 88 damaged, and 7 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $750 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $260
• Clean water and purification supplies: $75
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $125
• Food parcels for displaced families: $200
• Tools and labor for repairs: $90
Thanks for reading all this.

Sending strength. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Iztapalapa so I could bring a meal. God bless.
So sorry you're going through this, Rashid. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Take care
So sorry you're going through this, Rashid. I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in Newcastle but we're thinking of you. Love from Newcastle.
