We lost everything in the flash flood: help Old Town village start over
The flash flood damaged 48 homes in Old Town village. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The flash flood hit Old Town village on 27 July. My home was one of 48 damaged, and 10 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $6,500 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,600
• Clean water and purification supplies: $540
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,100
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,400
• Tools and labor for repairs: $860
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

sending good thoughts, Grayson. Looking forward to the next update.
Take care, Grayson. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
Take care, Grayson. I hope things turn around soon. Wish I lived closer to Jabalpur so I could bring a meal. All the best.
sending love, Grayson. Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Love from Beersheba.
