We lost everything in the earthquake: help the Old Town district start over
The earthquake damaged 26 homes in the Old Town district. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The earthquake hit the Old Town district on 24 July. My home was one of 26 damaged, and 8 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $970
• Food parcels for displaced families: $470
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $760

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. tools and labor for repairs is the biggest at $970. Fair thing to want to know.
