Waweru's final semester of an electrical engineering diploma in Nairobi
Waweru has worked and saved for four years to study an electrical engineering diploma; a $850 gap now stands between him and graduation.

Waweru is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Nairobi Polytechnic, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $850.
The registrar has said Waweru can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Waweru has a distinction average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Waweru would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Waweru isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
