The water account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless I pay $100. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $15 first, which I don't have. I live with a disabled brother, and going through summer without water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. Every dollar goes to the account in Tanvir's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates. Where the $100 goes: • Gas arrears: $40 • Reconnection and late fees: $10 • Down payment on a payment plan: $50 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Tanvir

  • Thinking of you. This could happen to any of us. After 11 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Rajkot.

    • Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Tanvir

      • Thinking of you and your family, Tanvir. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Rohini.

          • Thinking of you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 19 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything.

            • I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless

              • Thinking of you, Tanvir. This could happen to any of us. Sent it to 30 people at work!

                • Thinking of you. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best
