The water account is 2 months behind. Tammy received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless $800 is paid. She had never been late before my partner leaving the household. Tammy called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $150 first, which isn't available. The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through the cold months without water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. Tammy is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $800 goes: • Utility arrears: $420 • Reconnection and late fees: $170 • Down payment on a payment plan: $210 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Michael

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Tammy.

Utility arrears is $420 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Happy to explain more.

  • best of luck, Michael. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Blessings.
