Water shut-off notice: help Khalid pay $100

Help Khalid cover an overdue water bill so the household stays safe this summer.

The water account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on April unless I pay $100. I have never been late before December's medical emergency. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which I don't have. I live with a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through summer without water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $100 goes: • Utility arrears: $50 • Reconnection and late fees: $10 • Down payment on a payment plan: $40 Every share and every dollar helps. - Khalid

keep going, Khalid. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Madrid.

A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. After 10 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything
