The water account is 4 months behind. Khadija received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless $750 is paid. She had never been late before a reduction in hours. Khadija called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $70 first, which isn't available. The household includes a disabled brother, and going through the cold months without water isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by. Khadija is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
