The water account is 4 months behind. Cláudia received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $250 is paid. She had never been late before an unexpected car repair.
Cláudia called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through the rainy season without water isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Cláudia is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
