I coordinate donations at the Maple Family Centre in Houston. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Houston, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Maple Family Centre on Wednesday between 10am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Maple Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thanks for being kind about this.

  • Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Newcastle upon Tyne donated after I showed her your page. Love from Newcastle upon Tyne.

    • Thinking of you and your family, Jordan. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I hope April is when things finally get easier. Blessings

It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Bogotá.
