I coordinate donations at the Baobab Community Church in Luxor. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Luxor, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Baobab Community Church on Saturday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Baobab Community Church clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thanks for being kind about this.

  • Wishing you the best, Qasim. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Istanbul!
