I coordinate donations at Sycamore Women's Shelter in Pune. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Pune, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Sycamore Women's Shelter on Saturday between 10am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Sycamore Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Wishing you the best. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Pune.
Good luck, Parvathi. Hope you get there. Take care.

Stay strong, Parvathi. I hope things turn around soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
