Warm clothes needed: Lotus Women's Shelter families in Mumbai
A simple way to help: donate warm clothing for kids at Lotus Women's Shelter.

I coordinate donations at Lotus Women's Shelter in Mumbai. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Mumbai, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Lotus Women's Shelter on Friday between 10am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Lotus Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

You're not alone, Rahima. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Wishing you the best, Rahima. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Mumbai
You're not alone, Rahima. This could happen to any of us. Love from Quezon City
rooting for you, Rahima. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Good luck, Rahima. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family, Rahima. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I have a 17 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
