Wage-theft claim: Nancy needs $500 before the deadline
Help Nancy cover the fees of a wage-theft claim so She can stay with her family.

Nancy is facing a wage-theft claim. The hearing is scheduled for August, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $500. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline.
Nancy has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at a local immigrant rights clinic has confirmed that the case is valid.
If the deadline is missed Nancy could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $500 goes:
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $20
• Filing and biometrics fees: $45
• Attorney retainer: $435
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
