Wafa can't leave home - help build a ramp
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Cairo.
🇪🇬 Cairo, Egypt486 views
Wafa has used a wheelchair since 2022, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Wafa can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Wafa's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thank you so much.

Wishing you peace, Iman. This could happen to any of us. God bless
Take care, Iman. Shared this with my family. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
