Volunteers wanted: Simiyu's yard after the storm
Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Simiyu's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 87 and I have lived in this house in Gulu for 43 years. After the storm in June, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Sending love. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Jodhpur.
Best of luck. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Wish I lived closer to Ciudad de México so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Cartagena.
Shared it with a few friends. I hope September is when things finally get easier
