Volunteers wanted: Rubén's yard after the storm
Garden rescue day in Medellín: bring gloves and a rake.
🇨🇴 050591, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia164 views
I'm 88 and I have lived in this house in Medellín for 38 years. After the storm in July, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

So sorry you're going through this, Rubén. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I'll check back for the next update. All the best.
Thinking of you and your family. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. It's not much but it's yours
Keep going, Rubén. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 6 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
