Volunteers wanted: Meenakshi's yard after the storm
Meenakshi, 75, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 75 and I have lived in this house in Kozhikode for 23 years. After the storm in June, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis.
The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: two people with loppers and a wheelbarrow. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Thank you so much.

Get well soon. Thinking of Kozhikode
Sending good thoughts. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 16 years in public service I know how hard it is to ask for anything. All the best.
