Volunteers wanted: Hao's yard after the storm
Hao, 72, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 72 and I have lived in this house in Las Cruces for 43 years. After the storm in July, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of poor eyesight.
The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
