Volunteers wanted: Deepa's yard after the storm
Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Deepa's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 79 and I have lived in this house in Siliguri for 20 years. After the storm in June, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis.
The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Best of luck, Deepa. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it!
Best of luck, Deepa. Hope this works out for you. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings
