Volunteers wanted: Axel's yard after the storm
Garden rescue day in Southampton: bring gloves and a rake.
🇬🇧 Southampton, England, United Kingdom1,533 views
I'm 91 and I have lived in this house in Southampton for 42 years. After the storm in June, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall.
The council has told me it will be twelve weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
