Volunteers wanted: Alyssa's yard after the storm
Alyssa, 74, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 74 and I have lived in this house in Arlington for 24 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis.
The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Glad we found this place.

Hang in there. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Nottingham.
Best of luck. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.
Praying for you. Get well soon. My husband and I read this together. Take care

Best of luck, Alyssa. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings.

Hang in there, Alyssa. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 25 people at work.
