Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Roberto in San Francisco
The roof at Roberto's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a retired bus driver living in San Francisco. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $5,250, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Good luck. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Duque de Caxias.
Thinking of you, Roberto. Shared this with my family. Blessings.
Hang in there, Roberto. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon.
Thinking of you, Roberto. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
Sending love. I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
